The Citronela Bridge, located in the Buenaventura – Route 25 road, in Colombia, is about to be completed. This is a simply supported composite steel and concrete bridge with a span of 50 m. The superstructure is composed by a steel tub girder and concrete deck slab. The design had to fulfill both the high seismic requirements, usual in Colombia, and the complex geometric definition of the road, curved in plan and with a strong transverse slope variation along the bridge.
