A significant number of bridges spanning flows of water, such as rivers, channels, brooks, creeks, etc, required a detailed follow-up inspection to evaluate the interaction between watercourse and structure, especially its foundations.

Moreover, different types of bridges were inspected, including ancient masonry arcs and modern steel and precast concrete beams bridges, among others.

INSPECTION APPROACH

Detailed structural analysis and evaluation, establishing the load ratings of the bridges, were carried out.

The inspections consisted of a detailed visual inspection of each structure and production of inspection reports, including completion of inspection forms, photo captioning and recommendations prioritizing repairs and maintenance needs with associated functional cost estimates.
